We know that trust is earned and maintaining a strong community reputation is highly important to us.

Meet Greg - Owner/Operator & Arborist
As an experienced arborist and business owner, I am passionate about helping our customers add value to their properties and achieve their tree care goals. Whether the objective is optimizing the health of your trees, improving curb appeal, minimizing property hazards, increasing the view from your back deck, or all of the above, I’m committed to helping you each step of the way.
My philosophy of tree care centres around continuous improvement and growth. As technological advancements are made and best practices evolve within the industry, I ensure Forest Road adapts and remains current. I know when to rely on time-tested strategies and when to modernize systems, processes, and techniques, so we we remain efficient and effective as a company - whether on the ground or in the canopy.
My fascination with the vertical life began at an early age. Growing up on a hobby farm near Sydenham, Ontario, I was given ample opportunity to be adventurous, explore our property’s fields and forests, and develop a strong affinity to the natural world. In my early teen years I was introduced to rock climbing. I became hooked and never looked back, or perhaps more accurately, down. My proclivity for scaling walls and cliffs led to managing a local climbing gym, competing at the national level, and completing a 24-hour Mt. Everest-equivalent climb as a fundraiser for local and regional children’s hospitals. After several years devoted to roles in the social service sector, including experience as a Fall Protection trainer at St. Lawrence College (Kingston), I returned to working at heights again and began employment with a tree service company northeast of Kingston, Ontario, where I acquired valuable industry experience, under the guidance of a certified Arborist.
As a lifelong resident of Frontenac County, I have a deep connection to this wonderful region of Southeastern Ontario and its vibrant communities and friendly people. When not amongst the trees, you’ll find me rock climbing at the local gym or area crags, riding my gravel bike on nearby rail trails, backcountry camping, boating, and spending quality time with my wife and three children - often outside!

Why the Name Forest Road Tree Care?
Forest Road Tree Care is named after the road our home/shop is located on in South Frontenac, Ontario, and our logo design is inspired by a plantation of white spruce trees we enjoy on our property.
We firmly believe that trees are the lungs of our planet and need to be cared for and respected as such. Since tree removal is a part of the work we do in arboriculture, we have been proud members of Forests Canada since establishing our business and fully support their mission of making Canada’s forests greener. We are also pleased to be Frontenac County’s first tree care company to join Atmostree, a global 2:1 tree replacement alliance for arborists that plants more trees than we remove.
When you choose us for your tree care needs, you can be confident that we value environmental sustainability and endeavour to do our part to support local and global regenerative tree planting programs.
